COLOURSUITS privacy and cookie statement
Version: January 1, 2021
We handle your personal data with care when you visit our website or place an order. In this privacy and cookie statement you can read which personal data Coloursuits processes from you, why we do this, how we protect your data and what your rights are.
- Over Coloursuits
Coloursuits is responsible for the data processing of our (potential) customers, website visitors and users. We are located at Frankweg 65A, 2153 PD , Nieuw Vennep, the Netherlands. Our Chamber of Commerce number is 72408243. Do you have a question about this privacy and cookie statement or the use of your data by Coloursuits? Fill in the contact form or send an e-mail to info@coloursuits.nl.
- How do we get your personal data?
You usually provide us with your personal data. It also sometimes happens that we receive your data from someone else. For example, because you received a gift card as a gift.
- For what purposes do we collect your personal data?
Coloursuits collects your data for entering into and executing agreements. When you place an order on the website, we process data such as your name and address details, e-mail, telephone number, invoice and delivery details and financial details in order to be able to execute and handle the order. We use payment providers to process your order. We will forward your contact details to the delivery service so that your order can be delivered. Do you want to exchange or return an order? Then of course we need your data to make this right.
To make it easier for you to order, you can create an account on the website. With an account you do not have to fill in all your details again and again at checkout, and you can easily find your orders. To create an account, you must provide a number of personal details. You can also easily change or delete your data in your account.
You can register for our newsletter. We will only send you our newsletter if you have given permission to receive it or if you are an existing customer of ours (unless you have indicated that you do not wish to receive the newsletter). Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, so that you can easily unsubscribe if you no longer wish to receive our newsletter.
If you contact Coloursuits because you have a question, request or complaint about Coloursuits, we will store your message and contact details so that we are able to respond to your message. We process this data under the basic agreement, when the question, request or complaint relates to our services. In all other situations, we process the data on the basis of our legitimate interest to be able to respond to your message.
We place cookies to make the website function properly and to analyze the use of the website. In addition, we use cookies for marketing purposes, for example to collect information about you so that relevant advertisements can be shown to you (“retargeting”). We process this data with your consent. You can always object to this form of profiling. You can read more about this under the heading “Cookies”.
You can ask a question or contact us via the contact form. We process your name, e-mail address, telephone number and any personal data included in the message, so that we are able to respond to your question or request.
We may have to process your personal data because the law requires us to do so.
- Third party websites and social media buttons
Our website contains social media buttons from Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and possibly other links to third-party websites. If you click on a social media button, cookies may be placed. The privacy regulations of the specific platform apply to this link and not this privacy and cookie statement. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that these third parties handle your data in a secure manner. We therefore recommend that you read the privacy statements of these third parties before clicking on a button or link. You can read here how these platforms deal with your privacy:
- How long do we store your data?
Coloursuits does not store your data longer than necessary for the purposes stated in this privacy and cookie statement. We also determine the required retention period on the basis of laws and regulations and any claim risks. We have determined the following retention periods in any case:
- Have you placed an order on our website? Then we keep invoice data until the order is completed and seven years afterwards (we are legally obliged to do so).
- Have you completed the contact form on the website? Then we will keep your data until you are completely satisfied with an answer to your question or request.
- Each cookie placed on our website has its own expiry date. You can read more about this later in this statement.
- How do we secure your data?
We naturally want to prevent your data from falling into the wrong hands. That is why we have taken appropriate security measures to prevent misuse of and unauthorized access to your personal data, such as a secure connection through Transport Layer Security.
You should be aware that you are responsible for the security of your equipment and your own internet connection, and that these are never 100% secure. The transmission of personal data via the internet is therefore at your own risk.
- Do we share your data with third parties?
Coloursuits shares your data with a number of parties when this is permitted by law. We provide data to third parties when this is necessary for the implementation of our agreement, you have given your permission for this, we have a legitimate interest or the law obliges us to do so.
Your data can be passed on to the following (categories of) recipients:
- Hosting the website
- Mailservers
- Delivery services
- Our suppliers
- Return portal
- Payment providers and partners
- Online store software
- Cookie suppliers
- IT suppliers and service providers
It is possible that your personal data will be transferred or stored outside Europe. We only do this if there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of your personal data. For example, a model agreement.
Update on invalidating the EU-US Privacy Shield: we are familiar with the judgment of the European Court of Justice (Schrems-II). Coloursuits uses some non-European service providers and is currently reviewing the implications of the ruling in this regard. In addition, we will of course keep a close eye on the news in this regard. Do you have a question about this? Please feel free to contact us by using the contact details that are included under the heading “About Coloursuits”.
- What are your rights?
You remain in control of your data. You can exercise the following rights at any time:
- right of access to the personal data that we process from you;
- right to rectification and completion of your personal data;
- right to erasure of your personal data;
- right to restriction of your personal data;

If you want to exercise your rights, you can send an email to info@coloursuits.nl or contact us in writing. You can also fill in the contact form on the website. To prevent unauthorized access to your data, we can check your identity.
You can also view, modify and delete your personal data in your account.

- Revoke consent
Have you given us permission to process your personal data? Then you have the right to withdraw this permission at any time. From that moment on, we will no longer process your personal data, unless we have another basis. Do you want to withdraw your consent for cookies that we have placed? Read further on in this statement how you can delete cookies.
